Middletown Township comprises approximately 13 square miles centrally located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The Township is the third largest in the county geographically and is situated one mile west of Media, the county seat.

Originally established in 1686, Middletown adopted a Home Rule Charter system of government in 1978.  The Township is governed by the Council-Manager system, a representative form of government in which the 7
